Summary of Position
• Establish and maintain clinic’s relationship with community organizations, medical clinics within the catchment area and
relevant chambers of commerce.
• Provide RN nursing coverage in the Occupational Health Clinic when needed.
• Travel throughout catchment area (Mohawk Valley, Capital Region and North Country) as needed for meetings and events.
• Attend relevant community events to represent the clinic and promote clinic services.
• Work with the Medical Director and other staff to pursue grant opportunities, write grant applications and maintain
requirements of grant.
• Assist with development of health and safety training events.
• Support all other clinic services as needed.
Principal Accountabilities
• Work with local Chambers of Commerce and other organizations to promote clinic services.
• Develop and implement staff community outreach events.
• Travel and attend events as scheduled.
• Provide detailed written reports of community outreach activities to Medical Director on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis.
• Serve as clinician in Occupational Health Clinic as needed to supplement clinical team and support client needs.
• Set up patients in room, perform ancillary tests including vital signs, spirometry, respirator fit testing, EKGs,phlebotomy, audiograms, etc.
• Obtain basic medical history from examinees and patients.
• Support organization and client outreach and relationships in close collaboration with Medical Director, Industrial Hygienist, Contracts and Marketing Specialist, Social Worker and Office Manager.
• Identify and pursue grant opportunities including researching and writing of grants as needed.
• Develop, manage, and maintain health education materials and obtain on an as needed basis for distribution to community organizations, clients and industry and community events.
• Support the team in developing health and safety training programs as requested by community organizations and industry.
• Work with Social Worker and other clinical staff to develop and maintain educational materials for patients and examinees.
• Update and maintain educational site on clinic’s website.
• Perform other duties of the clinic as needed.
Education, Training, Licenses, Certifications
• Bachelors’ degree.
• Licensed Registered Nurse with active NY State license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications, NIOSH Spirometry certification and CAOHC certification.
• Required certifications must be obtained prior to start date.
Relevant Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• 4 – 6 years of experience in a health care setting
• Exceptional organizational and writing skills
• Excellent customer service and telephone skills
• Ability and willingness to travel to client work sites and between offices as needed to meet operational needs.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, etc.)
• Knowledge of website design and maintenance
• Knowledge of and experience with relevant occupational health and safety federal and state regulations
• Knowledge of and experience with local communities and organizations (Capital Region, Mohawk Valley, North Country)
• Travel 30% within Clinic’s catchment area using valid driver’s license
